The Sunshine was Enjoyed
Sunshine greeted competitors at the Ballyvaughan hillclimb weekend organised by Clare and Galway motor clubs. Aidan Connolly CoC for Sunday reminded people how the McKinley and Bell families were there in memory of the loss of Simon McKinley at last years event.
The classic Corkscrew hill was used on Saturday 23 April 2016. Limerick competitors received a number of trophies
John Kennedy first in class 3A and 15th overall
Gerard O’Connor 2nd in class 5 and 30th overall
Patrick McEntee second in class 1A and 38th overall
Rob Fenlon fifth in class 1B and 47th overall
Sunday 24 April 2016 was at a new hill Ballinalacken
John Kennedy second in class 3A and 18th overall
Declan Gannon fourth in class 9 and 24th overall
Gerard O’Connor third in class 5 and 38th overall
Patrick McEntee third in class 1A and 39th overall
Rob Fenlon fifth in class 1B and 45th overall. Rob had a dramatic roll on his second run, he is OK but the car will be needing a reshell
Paul O’Connell brought his V10 powered BMW E30 to Ballinalacken but electrical problems prevented him having a run.
